Mohamed Elzohiery brings over 25 years of pharmaceutical and biotechnology leadership experience specifically across the Middle East and North Africa region. He has held senior commercial and strategic roles at Roche, Sanofi, and Bristol Myers Squibb throughout MENA markets, and has contributed to strategic initiatives with Vertex Pharmaceuticals (gene therapy & CRISPR therapeutics) and Roche (local manufacturing programs) across Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Egypt.

 

Mohamed's expertise encompasses MENA commercial strategy, regional market access negotiations with government procurement committees, strategic partnerships with local manufacturers (Hikma, Tabuk, Spimaco), regulatory affairs across GCC countries, and business development throughout the Middle East and North Africa. He has demonstrated success launching innovative therapies in rare diseases, gene therapy, and advanced biologics across complex MENA markets—navigating cultural nuances, Arabic language requirements, and relationship-driven business practices.

 

Through Novatlantic, Mohamed leverages his extensive MENA network built over two decades, Arabic language capabilities, and deep understanding of regional healthcare systems to connect Canadian innovators with regional decision-makers, enabling accelerated and sustainable patient access throughout Saudi Arabia, UAE, Egypt, and the broader MENA region.

He has supported multi-center research projects, rare disease networks, and complex oncology/CNS studies throughout North America while maintaining deep MENA regional connections spanning over 25 years.

 

Mohamed has successfully established partnerships with health authorities, hospital systems, and pharmacy chains specifically throughout Saudi Arabia, UAE, Egypt, and the broader MENA region over 25 years. His focus centers on creating sustainable Canada-to-MENA supply-chain solutions maintaining product integrity across extreme temperature variations, accelerating Middle East and North Africa patient access to innovative Canadian medicines through optimized regulatory strategies, and building strategic Canada-MENA healthcare bridges that respect regional cultural values while meeting international pharmaceutical standards.
